Audio Systems Engineer, Robot Head San Carlos (on-site) About 1X We build humanoid robots that work alongside people to solve labor shortages and create abundance. The Role As an Audio Systems Engineer, you will own the full audio hardware and firmware pipeline. You will be responsible for hands-on design, prototyping, and system integration while working closely with software, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and industrial design teams. You’ll design and optimize microphone and speaker systems to ensure clear, reliable audio performance in diverse real-world conditions. Working closely with software teams, you will integrate Direction of Arrival (DOA), Voice Activity Detection (VAD), noise suppression, signal processing, and ML-based audio features.…
