REPORTS TO: Preventive Maintenance Supervisor SUPERVISES: N/A Preventive Maintenance for Naval/Commercial Ships under construction at Austal USA. The position is designed to preserve and enhance equipment. Where the primary goal is to prevent the failure of equipment before it occurs. AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts preventive maintenance according to a schedule of planned maintenance actions aimed at the prevention of breakdowns and failures. Works from limited documentation, schematics, diagrams, notes, production prints and layouts. Establish a maintenance schedule, then plan and conduct that maintenance IAW the established schedule.
