About this role

Financiële instellingen in Nederland dienen op basis van de Wet ter voorkoming van witwassen en financieren van terrorisme ( Wwft ) en de Sanctiewet 1977 ( Sw ) maatregelen te nemen om te voorkomen dat er via hun instelling geld wordt witgewassen, terrorisme wordt gefinancierd en sanctieregelgeving wordt ontdoken. De AFM houdt hier voor een belangrijk deel toezicht op, door zo’n 6000 financiële instellingen op naleving van deze wetgeving te controleren. Handmatig is dit uiteraard niet te doen, en daarom zetten wij op slimme wijze data in om risicogebaseerd in te grijpen op die plekken waar dit het hardst nodig is.…
