About this role

About the team Our team is responsible for assessing the safety of our autonomous vehicles. We work with real-world driving data, simulation, and engineering teams to answer questions like: Is our autonomy safe enough to deploy? Where does it fail? How is it improving over time? We design the frameworks and taxonomies used to classify safety-critical events, review thousands of such events from on-road and simulated driving, and turn them into structured signal that engineering and product teams act on. The output of our work directly informs deployment readiness decisions across the locations where we operate.
