Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse CVICU Unit Description: 2H ICU is a 12-bed Cardiovascular and Thoracic Critical Care Unit. Primarily serving adult and geriatric post-op cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries (CABG, Valve Replacement/Repair, TAVR, Bronch/Thor, and other thoracic and vascular surgeries). This unit also cares for general surgery post-op requiring intensive care, Pre and post critical cardiac Cath lab interventions, post cardiac arrest, sepsis, and complex care ICU patients. 2HICU also provides care for patients on multiple devices such as ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CVVHD/CRRT. RNs from this unit respond to all south tower Rapid Response and Code Blue emergencies. 2H may also take overflow from the other ICUs.…
