Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) PRN, 1st Shift BHCOR-Senior Psych Unit I Corbin, KY The Senior Psychiatric unit is licensed for 8 acute psychiatric beds for patients with a primary psychiatric diagnosis. The Senior Psychiatric unit specializes in adult care of patients 55 years old and older and an interdisciplinary treatment team approach is utilized in caring for patients. Performs care requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards.…
