Job Description: The RNA Core is a facility core within the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) COBRE: Center for the RNA Biology in Health and Disease created to provide an integrative suite of RNA biology services and advice to PIs in Rhode Island who are studying RNA while also training the next generation of RNA biologists through courses/workshops. The Manager of the RNA Core Facility will be instrumental in establishing this core to provide long-read sequencing for identifying new RNA species and mapping RNA modifications both globally and at single-molecule level in sequence context. This central function will include specialized adaptations of sequence based genomic methods such as nascent RNA seq.…
