Job Description: Summary The Research Assistant will provide assistance with neurophysiological, imaging and molecular biology experiments in the developing visual system of tadpoles. This position involves assisting with basic lab maintenance and organization. This position involves use of various experimental techniques and utilize molecular biology techniques, animal husbandry, histology, computers, and microscopy techniques. The long-term goal of the research in the laboratory of Dr. Carlos Aizenman is to understand the role of sensory experience in shaping the connectivity and functional properties of developing neural circuits, as well as its implications for neurodevelopmental disorders.…
