SUMMARY: Summary:Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, performsscientific investigative research in areas related to patient care, supervisesactivities of subordinate professional and support staff assigned to one or moreresearch projects. Selects, orients, schedules, assigns work and evaluates performance of subordinate research staff. Ensures implementation of approved research program, adherence to research protocols, development and maintenance of study records. Researches literature in the field, participates in the design of experimental protocols and develops new procedures to carry out established research objectives.
