SUMMARY: The Performance Improvement Coordinator is an integral member of the Trauma Registry at Rhode Island Hospital. As the only ACS verified Level I Trauma Center in the state of Rhode Island, we provide essential trauma care to nearly 4,000 patients with traumatic injuries every year. The Trauma service relies on the Performance Improvement Coordinator to coordinate the performance improvement process that is integral to our hospital’s American College of Surgeons verification status. Under the direction of the Trauma Program Manager, the Performance Improvement Coordinator identifies performance issues, assures timely evaluation, assists with developing action plans, assists with implementing those plans and is responsible for evaluating effectiveness.…
