Cable Technician Key Responsibilities • Assist with the installation, adjustment, and change of copper layer-one network connections for technical systems under the supervision of a senior technician. • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Category 5e/6/6a copper cabling for data infrastructure in a large enterprise environment. • Properly comb, dress, and label copper cables in accordance with site and industry standards (TIA/EIA, ANSI/BICSI). • Implement structured pathways per approved designs, accounting for the physical constraints of copper media (bend radius, pull tension, separation from EMI sources). • Interpret and follow floor plan designs; escalate any deviations from plan to a senior technician in a professional and timely manner.…
