About this role

As a mechanical engineer, you will participate in the enhancement of the LHCb electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) in the coming years. This includes participation in the produciton of new ECAL modules and the re-assembly of the ECAL structure. Your responsibilities Prepare 3D models and drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies. Participate in procurement and quality assurance tasks for new ECAL modules. Contribute to the design work in view of the re-assembly of the ECAL, including finite element studies of mechanical structures. In addition, participate in R&D towards the improvement of the existing ECAL modules. Your profile Proven track record in designing mechanical parts and assemblies using 3D CAD tools. Hands-on experience in structural simulations using finite element analysis.…
