Job Description: Under the leadership of the department director and/or the assistant director of pharmacy operations, the pharmacy technician is responsible for assisting in pharmacy department activities not requiring a pharmacist’s professional judgment. Duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining patient records/drug profiles, unit dose medication preparation, sterile product preparation, pharmaceutical calculations, data entry into pharmacy computer systems, filling and managing automated dispensing devices, sterile IV and non-sterile additive and chemotherapy compounding, and assisting the pharmacist in providing quality pharmaceutical care.…
