About this role

Carnegie Mellon University's Facilities Management (FMS) department is searching for an HVAC Mechanic I or HVAC Mechanic II to join our team! In this role, you will perform work such as maintaining, repairing, and operating HVAC equipment including electronic control systems, self-contained air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment in laboratories and dining service facilities, fan coil units, air handling units, and fans. Core responsibilities will include: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all HVAC equipment including fan coil units, air handling units, VAV boxes, and all associated components. Repair and replace expansion valves, compressors, motors, and coils. Check the HVAC distribution system for property velocity, volume, temperature, and pressure.…
