The course description: This class explores the multitude of dance forms around the world via lectures, readings, films, and live performances. It approaches movement as a means of expressing the spirit and performing ritual, interacting socially and embodying cultural mores, and creating art. It looks at how new forms of dance are evolving as cultures fuse and technology opens up new venues. This class will meet on Wednesdays from 6 PM to 8 :30 PM in the fall semester.…
