Small Engine Mechanic

Job Overview Small Engine Mechanic Under direction of the Supervisor, Grounds Maintenance, maintains and repairs gasoline engines and other parts on power tools and equipment. What you will be doing: Maintains and repairs two and four-cycle engines up to 12 horsepower; locates causes of trouble, dismantles engines, replaces or repairs parts, and cleans and adjusts machine. Maintains and repairs power tools and equipment and checks and sharpens cutting edges. Makes decisions to repair/replace equipment. Reads and interprets written instructions, diagrams and technical manuals in making repairs and maintaining equipment. Orders parts for repair work as required. Maintains written records of all maintenance; provides input into department's budget based on records.…
