Job Description: The Department of History at Fairfield University seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in the history of China, period open, to begin fall 2027, pending final budget approval. Teaching responsibilities are three classes per semester (two preps). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses at all levels of our undergraduate curriculum including introductory courses, intermediate survey courses, and advanced seminars in one's specialty. Candidates should have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and service at the university level.
