Summary: Responsible for the design and development of tools and equipment for use in the installation of plastic piping systems. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for the mechanical design of plastic piping system installation tools and equipment Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for applicable tooling and equipment. Perform Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) Perform rapid prototyping and be hands-on with product testing. Understand and utilize DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles to help ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturing capabilities and efficiencies. Create detailed product drawings using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Create product bills of material and routings.…
