Job Description: The Referral Specialist is responsible to execute patient referrals as indicated by physicians, seek authorization as required by individual insurances and notify patients. Posting Specifics Benefits Eligible: Yes Shift Details: Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm Job Essentials Obtains referral request from physician. Verifies insurance coverage or lack thereof for patient. Obtains authorizations if needed from insurance coverage. Gathers all records necessary for incoming or outgoing referral requests. Gathers pertinent information from insurance carriers, financial counselors, and other ancillary staff to make certain the patient's financial obligations for services provided. Completes referral paperwork, including copies, and fax to medical office.…
