Job Description: The Nurse Apprentice works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) in the clinical setting and participates appropriately in the patient care delivery process. The Nurse Apprentice is expected to work at least 12 hours per week during their last semester, as allowed under the State of Utah guidelines for a Nurse Apprentice. Essential Functions Routinely observes, discusses, and demonstrates understanding of the steps in the nursing process and how the patient plan of care is developed, implemented, and revised to meet the needs of the patient (under direct supervision of an RN). Assessment: Collects patient data (e.g., vital signs) and reports significant changes in patient condition to the supervising RN.…
