Accompanist plays piano or drums for dance classes. Assignment hours vary each semester depending on need. Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities Plays piano or drum accompaniment for studio dance classes. Uses appropriate improvisational or music score for mood, style, and intention of the movement thereby enhancing student aesthetic learning. Uses tempo, rhythm, and phrasing appropriate to exercise or sequence. May perform other accompanist related duties as assigned or requested.
