Job Description: The Emergency Department Patient Access Representative is responsible for timely, courteous, and accurate collection of patient information to admit patients into the Emergency Department services. As the point of contact for internal and external parties, this individual will be responsible for: Answering phones and directing calls to appropriate departments. Registration for facility departments including emergency department and outpatient procedures for radiology and laboratory services. Stocking rooms and supply carts. Assists patient with activities of daily living as patient needs require. Communicating patient care needs, changes in condition, observations and responses to the appropriate RN.
