JUVENILE DIVERSION: Supervises, develops, and manages the Juvenile Diversion Program (District and County Courts) within the District Attorney’s Office. This program was created in order to provide community-based alternatives to youth entering the juvenile justice system and diversion from the formal court process. The goal of this program is to counsel youth and parents, reduce juvenile recidivism, and facilitate a change in the juvenile offender’s behaviors and/or attitudes while avoiding the need for formal court prosecution.
