Job Description Summary The Medical Billing and Collections Specialist is responsible for providing effective and accurate resolution of complex posting issues as identified through the Practice Management System (PMS). They are responsible for the in-depth research, validation of overpayments and unapplied funds and processing of both patient and carrier requested refunds as appropriate. The Payment Support Specialist must research, troubleshoot, and ensure the accuracy of posted payments and rejections and provide relevant trending to the management team. They will respond to requests for additional information needed by the carrier in order to make a determination of payment.…
