This job retrieves and processes medical records for the clinic and hospital; researches, locates and processes requests for medical record information; prepares documents for scanning, assembles records, reconciles basic HIM reports, processes and forwards medical records for clinic and hospital requests; performs in-depth research to locate records and resolve day-to-day problems in daily workflow operations; and reviews paper and electronic medical records to determine if documentation is available for all and/or specific episodes of care for clinic and hospital visits.
