Position Title: Painter Department: Facilities Engineering Job Description: General Description: Under general supervision, paints, finishes and decorates items such as wood, metal and concrete surfaces of buildings and other structures, equipment, machinery, and furnishings. Essential Responsibilities: Prepares new and old surfaces for finishing by using sandpaper, burners, scrapers, brushes, sanding machines, dusters, washing compounds and finish removers. Putties, plasters or otherwise fill and repair cracks and holes. Replaces broken glass in sashes and doors. Removes putty or glazing compounds. Caulks window frames, doorframes, and similar units. Mixes paints and allied products to match colors.…
