Heavy Equipment Operator

Purpose and Scope: The incumbent operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scrapper attachments. Essential Responsibilities: Equipment is used to excavate, load, or move and distribute dirt, gravel, or other materials. Excavates or stockpiles material on roads, drill pads, event sites, and construction sites. Rips rock, cuts slopes, pushes scrapers, and digs sumps. Feeds crushers or batch plants; removes aggregate from under conveyor belts. Assures that machinery is maintained properly and fluid levels are adequate.…
