About this role
The Tool and Parts Attendant performs various routine duties pertaining to requisitioning, ordering, shipping, issuing, and controlling materials, parts, and tools. Provides hand tools, shop supplies and equipment support for the maintenance complex. Receives, stores and issues hand tools, replacement tools, shop supplies and equipment. Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers. Searches for lost or misplaced tools and notifies supervision as required. Prepares inventory and requisitions stock as needed. Unpacks and stores new equipment. Visually inspects tools for wear and defects and will order replacement tools as necessary. Attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment as needed.…
