Job Description: Overview: As a key member of a survey crew, the Rodman provides essential support to ensure the successful completion of land surveying projects under the direction of the Party Chief. Responsibilities: Clear brush and obstacles to maintain line of sight. Carry and set up equipment, such as rods, tripods, and prisms, for staking and measurement. Load and unload survey equipment and supplies for job assignments. Maintain survey supplies, such as nails, paint, rods, and flags, ensuring the crew is prepared for daily tasks. Gather supplies, dig for corners, and cut lines. Search for and correctly identify monuments. Plumb prisms to ensure accurate measurements. Measure distances using chains, tape, or other methods.
