POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to an Operations Supervisor or Manager, the Level 2 Sorter is responsible for overseeing and performing various tasks/job duties related to the operations support and coordination throughout the recycling center, including but not limited to, inventory control, quality control and safety compliance. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Sort and segregate recoverable materials (e.g.. aluminum, plastic, glass, paper, etc.) from incoming waste, or remove non-recyclable materials. Deposit recoverable material safely and efficiently into appropriate chute. Assist other sorters on an as-needed basis with heavy or bulky items. Communicate with equipment operators regarding incoming loads of special waste or other loads that require special attention.…
