About this role

Essential Functions: Provides professional accounting support in the maintenance and review of the County’s financial records; may provide accounting support for grants. Maintains and balances financials in assigned area; writes off balances if appropriate. Gathers and prepares financial information for all departments as needed. Maintains petty cash funds. Process checks Distributes/allocates funds if applicable. Provides instruction and leadership of accounting staff on assigned accounting projects. Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, and requests for assistance in areas of responsibility. May manage customer accounts (such as those for the Sheriff, Treasurer, or for services such as sewer, water and landfill); monitor and collect on delinquent accounts.…
