Nurse Practitioner | Highland Hospital | Charleston, West Virginia About the Job: PURPOSE STATEMENT: The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing general medical care and treatment to clients, under the direction of physician. Performs history, physical examinations, and preventive health measures on assigned clients; provides consultation and liaison throughout the facility; performs daily rounds on clients as directed by supervising physician; prescribes medications; and provides clinical assessments and diagnosis. Works collaboratively with the medical/clinical staff under the guidelines of state licensure for Nurse Practitioners.
