Organization: PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation ALD Position Overview: Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require judgment and knowledge of sophisticated equipment. Assists in areas such as visual acuity testing. Performs more extensive ophthalmic care patient work ups including some advanced technical testing, i.e. Functional Dexterity Test (FDT), contrast sensitivity, Intra-Ocular Lens (IOL) Master, pupil check, angle checks, pachymetry. Assists the ophthalmologist in performing minor surgical procedures, greets and identifies patients, takes a preliminary history, and, as needed, performs visual fields, dilates pupils, and departmental duties to improve patient flow and department function.…
