Job Summary: Under the direction of the Newborn Screening (NBS) ASC Director, provides follow up and coordinates care for both positive and non-positive Newborn Screening cases. Provides consultation/technical assistance to hospital NBS providers and birth attendants to ensure program compliance through appropriate NBS policies/procedures and interpretation/implementation of state regulations. Provides NBS educational programs for hospitals, birth attendants, health care professionals, community agencies and parent groups. Manages NBS confirmed positive cases to ensure that affected babies receive required specialty care. Documents case follow up and resolves cases appropriately in the Screening Information System (SIS).…
