Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the B-Plate Operator is key in assisting with meeting the department’s goals by performing machine set-up, maintaining quality standards, meeting daily production targets, and troubleshooting equipment when required. Responsibilities The B-Plate Operator is responsible for coil handling which involves removing coils from skids, loading coals to the payoff, and measuring gauge and width of the material with measuring devices. Set up the designated B-Plate Mill by interpreting process sheets, setting machine parameters, and using lubrication. Adjust and correct machine set-ups to reduce thicknesses, reshape products, and eliminate product defects.…
