Transporter (Per-Diem)

POSITION SUMMARY : Under the direction of the Transport Supervisor or the Director of Transport Services, performs a variety of duties, including transporting patient, medical equipment, and specimens to and from areas within the hospital as assigned. Position : Transporter Department : Patient-Equip Transport Schedule : Part Time ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Transports patients, specimens, equipment and related items and supplies safely and comfortably to and from areas within the hospital as assigned in a timely manner. Greets patients, families, visitors and staff in a frien dly courteous positive customer service manner. Identifies self as a transporter. Hands-off patient to a caregiver.
