Base Pay: $17.04 Hourly . SUMMARY: Performs a variety of manual labor tasks related to the cleanliness and maintenance of grounds surrounding county buildings. The employee is required to be on duty before, during, and after natural disasters and emergencies, as directed by the supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Waters lawns. Repairs sprinkler heads, water lines and valves. Mows grounds of county buildings and lots once a week or as needed. Edges sidewalks and curbs. Fertilizes grounds, pulls weeds, and sprays foliage with insecticides, weed killers, herbicides, etc. Trims, cuts and prunes trees and shrubbery. Cleans and vacuums fountains as needed. Sweeps and picks up trash. Polices areas for garbage daily.…
