About this role
ESSENTIAL TASKS The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary. Operates heavy equipment to construct, maintain and repair paved and unpaved County roads, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, ditches, catch basins and storm drainage systems. Operates heavy equipment to maintain public rights-of-way. Operates heavy equipment to assist other divisions and departments as necessary, including but not limited to maintaining County landfills. Manually loads / unloads materials onto vehicles; transports equipment and materials to / from work sites. Uses hand and power tools in various manual tasks as required.…
