About this role
As included on the ONET website for 39-9011.00 (Child Care Workers), the Child Care Assistants are to perform a variety of tasks/duties on behalf of the infant/children within their assigned room. Assistants will look after and spend time with infants/children aged 6 weeks - 12 years old. Assistants will help encourage and engage children in age-appropriate activities such as storytelling, singing, games, and guided play; and help children learn basic concepts such as colors, numbers, letters, shapes, and days of the week. Assistants will help children follow daily routines, encourage good behavior and maintain order by supervising children to ensure they are safe at all times.
