The International Monetary Fund’s Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (OAP) in Tokyo is looking for a junior economist to conduct analytical work on the Asia-Pacific region in collaboration with OAP economists, researchers in the region, and economists at IMF’s headquarters. This fixed-term position would be ideal for an early career economist interested in policy work, the work of the IMF, and pursuing a potential career in an international organization. Job Responsibilities The main tasks will be (i) working on regional research projects or analytical pieces, as part of the IMF’s surveillance of the region, and (ii) keeping abreast with the most recent macroeconomic and financial developments in the region.…
