Senior Research Assistant (Part-Time)

Experimental research requires substantial experience beyond the scientific knowledge of the research topic of study, much of which is beyond the scope of undergraduate researchers in the limited time they have to participate in such research. The candidate of this position will assist in research operations including the design and assembly of mechanical and electrical hardware, conducting fluids experiments, and providing data analysis tools and guidance to support to lab members. The Fluids of Astrophysical Bodies Laboratory (FAB Lab) has shown the importance of giving undergraduate students research experience, which has helped over a dozen students be accepted to graduate programs and/or technical positions in industry.…
